KEEPING IT REAL

Keeping It RealOk so this post is long time coming, I was hesitating about posting this but here it is no point in holding back now as it has been on my mind also quite frustrating. BLOGGING!! What does this mean??

Lets start from the beginning before I even started my own blog I always loved following other bloggers and getting inspo also reading up reviews on different products from beauty, skincare or fashion there are so many things you can blog about but those are what interest’s me everyone has different taste’s it all depends on that person. Over the years I have read so many reviews on products before purchasing as I wanted to see if it was worth the money and as they say “does exactly what is says on the tin ”   but unfortunately the majority of products I have purchased were based on reviews that only talked about the benefits and not reviewing any drawbacks associated with the product or service, as this allows people to make good choices about their purchases.

Since starting my own beauty, fashion & lifestyle blog one thing I know that I pride myself in the fact I always give genuine honest feedback based on my experience of the product or a service I am reviewing  for my followers based on anything that I may put up on my blog or even social media channels as loyalty to my followers means alot to me.

Blogging for me started as a hobby and became a  passion of mine to write about aspects of  beauty, fashion, skincare and makeup . I am fully qualified in Beauty Therapy & as a make up artist so I wanted to share and write reviews and products that I love, I also studied   fashion design until I landed myself into a full time job within retail so my love for fashion is also a huge part of my blog.

I have been privileged to have worked with a good few brands which I am so grateful for but I will not promote a product if I don’t like it or I don’t believe in it, the last while since I have started blogging myself I have noticed it has changed and it is not what it used to be back years ago ,I think it can change people from being themselves and just focused on making money, of course you can make a career out of blogging and that’s great but you can do that and still be yourself.

We all started off our blog’s from nothing, putting ourselves out there afraid are we not going to be noticed no matter how hard you work on a blog post you are still wondering why am I not getting recognition? is it because I am not good enough or comparing yourself to others to see what they are doing or putting up that their work is getting noticed, don’t compare yourself to anyone be you, be real, be different  think of those three words when you want to compare yourself to others stand out from the crowd that’s what makes you unique.

Blogging can  also become competitive and sad to say that is the reality, it’s all about how many followers you have and who notices you if you don’t but that’s not true in my own opinion be the best you can be produce good content, professional images and just be creative in your own way, once again be different from the rest. I wont lie when I first started I compared myself to others this is why I am writing the blog post as I have learned from myself and I wanted to share it with you.

P.S  Be you, Be real, Be different 🙂 🙂

Lots of Love,

Aimee xxx
